At Planet Mermaid, we are committed to operating with integrity, responsibility and care for people, communities and the environment. Our Code of Conduct sets out the values that guide every decision we make as a UK business.

We partner exclusively with UK swim schools who use and approve our products, we are recommended by Allianz Insurance, ensuring safety, suitability and regulatory compliance for children and families.
All products are ethically sourced and tested to UK and EU standards.

✅ Ethical Partnerships & Governance

We only work with suppliers who align with our values on safety, sustainability and fair practice. We expect all partners to uphold responsible manufacturing, transparent labour conditions and environmental stewardship.

 

✅ Social Responsibility & Charitable Impact

We actively support and champion two key charities:

Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) – protecting marine wildlife

Make-A-Wish UK – bringing joy to children facing critical illness
We also fundraise annually at Swim Serpentine to support marine conservation.

We are committed to measurable annual reductions in our carbon footprint and are working towards using 100% recycled fabric across our product range by 2030. We also invest in a UK-based skills pipeline by working with local colleges and schools to promote sustainability and train young people in ethical product development.

Planet Mermaid’s work is rooted in environmental responsibility and ocean-positive values. We align with SDG 14 (Life Below Water) by supporting Whale and Dolphin Conservation through fundraising at Swim Serpentine, educating families on responsible oceans, and designing products that promote respect for marine ecosystems. Our sustainability roadmap also aligns with SDG 13 (Climate Action), as we are actively reducing our carbon footprint and transitioning to 100% recycled fabrics by 2030. Through partnerships with local colleges and UK training programmes, we support SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing learning opportunities in sustainable manufacturing and ethical entrepreneurship for young people. In addition, by working only with suppliers who uphold environmental and safety standards, and promoting responsible hydration and reusable swim culture in schools and community events, we indirectly contribute to SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by reducing harmful waste and protecting water systems linked to marine life. Together, these commitments demonstrate that the brand’s commercial success is inseparable from its environmental and social responsibilities.
